Midnight Love

Chapter 2:

Today is the beginning of semester 2. Waking up at 5:30AM might just be a little early but I want to get there early anyway. I look at my clock at it says 6:56AM. I only have a few more minutes to get ready to be out the door by 7:10AM. I get in the car and my mom is sitting in the driver’s seat. I look over at her with a worried look. “Honey everything will be ok” she says with a happy tone. We pull out of the parking lot and were off to school. I start getting worried even more now, mostly cause of my social anxiety. I hate when I walk in somewhere and people start starring and I get scared inside because they are people I don’t know. Anyway I start to get out of the car and I feel someone grab my arm and I turn to look and its mom. I say that I have to go but she looks at me and says “honey I want you to get extra credit this semester”, “ok mom” I say while pulling away gently. I start to walk up the intimidating stairs but then I suddenly trip, all of my books fell out of my arms. Someone starts to help me pick up my books. I say thank you and look up at the most attractive guy I’ve seen in a long time. “You’re welcome, the names Adam, Adam Yorba, what’s yours” “My name is Chasidy, Chasidy Thomas”. I say with butterflies surrounding my stomach. “Well nice to meet you” he says with a smirk on his face. “Nice to meet you too” I say nervously. He looks at me and says “Hope to see you around again”. And he heads to his homeroom. I think to myself ‘did he actually mean that?’ I start to walk toward the office. Well at least I think it’s the office. I open the door and tell the girl my name and she hands me a piece of paper with my schedule. And a girl comes out of the door beside of her. “Hi my name is clarity and I will be you tour girl. To show you the ropes”. “Hi my name is chasidy”.
